Sealing a building using an aerosol with a guaranteed n50 value of less than 0.6 – AeroBarrier
A technology for sealing a building using an acrylic sealant in aerosol form. It allows the building to be sealed in a controlled manner, completely eliminating any uncertainty regarding the final result, and enables the level of airtightness to be verified by measurement once the work has been completed.

How does AeroBarrier work?
AeroBarrier sprays microscopic particles of acrylic sealant inside the building, and computer-controlled positive pressure forces them into the detected leaks. The process continuously monitors the effects of the progressive reduction in the size of the detected holes and gaps, analysing air flow and calculating the 50ACH value in real time. The service ceases operation once the set air change rate parameter has been reached.
Benefits:
- Significant savings on heating and cooling
- Comfort inside the building
- Preventing moisture from entering the wall system
- Reducing noise coming from outside
- Protection against insects and pests
- Preventing the spread of unpleasant odours
Implementation:
- Preparation: Securing the necessary process openings.
- Creating positive pressure: Using a Blower Door unit to create a pressure differential that enables the location of air leaks in the building’s structure.
- Sealant application: Spraying a water-based acrylic mist.
- Documentation and certification: Continuous real-time monitoring of the reduction in the building’s 50ACH value. Generation of a report.
What you should know?
The application is recommended at the shell stage – once the electrical installation and the routing of the plumbing systems (water, drainage, heating) have been completed, but before the floors and walls are finished. If the premises are already in use, we carry out a ‘retrofit’ process – we protect horizontal surfaces and household appliances to ensure the process is completely safe for the finished interiors.
